I am moving later on in the year back to brissy and am looking for a bicycle friendly neighbourhood, i don't have a car. I will be working in the City most likely.

Fri, June 8, 2007 - 12:15 AMWest End's your best bet. Either that or New farm, but the south has great busways also so commuting can be very fast. I don't have a car, but commute happily by bus and cycle. Good Luck.

Fri, June 8, 2007 - 6:18 AMI agree with Will, but I'd throw in Toowong/Milton area. the Coronation Drive Bike way is probably the best/most direct route to the city from the suburbs. Very busy though.
Once you get past Toowong, it gets a bit hairier, but the Western Freeway bike path is good too, if you want to go out to places like Indooroopilly.
If you go South East, past Stones Corner the bike path is a joke. -
