OK, so here is one for you...
Besides the botanical gardens and south bank, what are your favourite parks in and around Brisbane? What are good places to hang in relative nature while remaining within the urban jungle?

Re: favourite parks in Brisbane
Sun, October 30, 2005 - 5:40 PMI used to get paid to walk around Roma Street Parklands, so have a soft spot for that. Plenty of room, different sections with different feels. Just not enough BBQs.
New Farm park is similar, big, open spaces. People usually laid back and a top view of the river.
There's a little park on top of the hill on Mowbray Terrace at East Brisbane that's pretty nice too.
Nothing much there, but a nice place to eat fish and chips with friends.

Tue, August 8, 2006 - 4:09 AMi live just down the road from new farm park and love it. it can get a little busy in the afternoons, but during the day, it's nice and relaxing, sitting down by the river, maybe a trip to the powerhouse. bbqs abound with enough shade to hide in during summer, & enough space to lay out in the sun during winter. -
