  About 60 F min to 80 F max on average
  It looks pretty close to June weather in Des Moines if that helps you.
  Cairns and Darwin get hotter naturally.

  But then, the weather is no longer normal. But it will be warm. I live in Brisbane and the days are warm now, . The North is beginning to warm up around October. I wish your family a happy & safe journey.

      Yes, but remember that the far north, Cairns & Darwin, really begin to heat up around November. : )
